Alaska's 2nd largest school district is looking to HOST and HIRE CFY student Speech Language Pathologists for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year!  We are located 45 minutes outside of Anchorage, AK.  We have 19,000+ students across 46 schools.  Our communities include: Glacier View, Sutton, Palmer, Wasilla, Butte, Knik-Fairview, Meadow Lakes, Big Lake, Houston, Willow, Talkeetna and Trapper Creek.  We hire several CFY SLPs each year and provide workd class mentorship, community and collaboration with 40+ other SLPs, and invaluable professional development as you begin your career in a sought after field!  Our caseload is in the low 40s!

Position Description: To provide therapeutic services to students identified as speech/communication impaired in order for them to benefit from Special Education Services or for them to progress adequately in the general education curriculum.  To promote positive public relations and meet compliance standards advocated through the Student Support Services Department.

Salary: $53,479 – $67,998 Depending on verification of service and education. MSBSD has a competitive Salary Schedule with an accelerated step advancement. Applicants can bring a maximum of 3 years' experience with verification. We pay an additional $2,000 bonus PER YEAR for CCCs and provide $3,000 relocation bonus.

Leave: Each Certified Teacher/Related Service Provider receives 4 paid personal leave days at the beginning of the year and accrues 1.33 sick leave days each month of employment.

Retirement: MSBSD is a member of the State of Alaska Teachers Retirement System.
